Our Patients

Eastern Screech Owl

Eastern Screech Owl whose left eye was ruptured when he was hit by a vehicle.  The eye  needed to be removed but this owl could still hunt successfully with one eye and two good ears (owls listen for their prey)

Red-tailed hawk with power line injury

Red-tailed hawk who survived electrocution on a power line.  While perched on a power pole, his wing touched a live wire and was severely burned.

 

Southern Flying Squirrels 12-0004 & 0008.  Trapped in a house.  Will overwinter at the wildlife center and released in the spring.

Barred Owl
12-0006.  HBV.  Severe head trauma and broken wing.  Still recovering.
